THE DETROIT ZOO
I kept praying that the weather would be in the 70's for our entire vacation and that it would be really nice for the zoo considering all the walking we had to do. It was hot in the sun but the shade was really nice and there was a cool breeze. You have not because you ask not! It was really great! We did ALOT of walking, and I mean ALOT of walking. By the end of the day we were all toast! I tried not to have expecations that the kids would absolutely love the zoo and be so excited to be there. They did enjoy it but they have been without a nap for 4 days! As long as we kept moving they were okay. It doesn't help that you have to walk a mile to get to each exhibit! I think they were just looking forward to the pool later! The kids got to be Zookeepers and got a free t-shirt,(they only had mediums!), a free small drink, and a free ride on the railroad.

Eliza seemed to enjoy the reptiles. She kept pointed at this little guy in the glass and saying dragon!

After our day at the zoo and some swim time, we went to "On the Border" for dinner. I think this picture is too funny! Jaedon is showing his true feelings about how tired he is and we have cheesy in the background!

The zoo was a lot of fun...it's always fun to be with you, the Howells, and the kids!
