Wow....we made it to Friday! The past 2 days have been pretty uneventful. We have done one activity a day which is great for the girls and this tired, pregnant mommy!
I have been pretty frustrated this week, just with the constant asking of things, the whining, the having to do EVERYTHING, the drama, and the sibling rivalry.
I have prayed A LOT and really have been made aware of how much I try to do on my own.
What would we do without Jesus to help us through each moment. I think I would have admitted myself to Pine Rest a long time ago! The girls have been pretty good, it's just hard not to get tired of them when I have been with them 24/7 ALL WEEK! I need alone time and quiet. I get overstimulated with talking and socializing after so much! God has surely given me the grace to go without this week.
Anyway, I have also been playing the piano at the church where my mom-in-law works. I started last week and will play for the next 4 weeks. The music director sang offertory last week. He sang a song that he wrote that I just had to share. (no I am not going to post a video of me singing!)
I know you can't get the full gist of it without the music, but the words spoke a lot to me as I started this crazy week.
"The Way that God Is"
I was walking the other day, and I heard the voice of God
Thru the trees and the quiet breeze.
The world was still and peaceful, I could almost feel Him smile
In a way it felt, like heaven for a while.
But ain't that the way that God is, a still quiet voice.
Ain't that the way that our God speaks
Isn't that the way that God is, in the quiet of the night
When he speaks to you, there's no mistaking it at all.
I was walking the other day, and I heard the voice of God
Thru the trees and the quiet breeze
He said come to me, all you who morn, and lay your cross on me
And I will give you shelter from the storm.
Ain' t that the way that God is, He knows our every need.
Ain't that the way that our God speaks
Ain't that the way that God is in the middle of the night
He fills your soul with message of peace,
But the world is filled with noise,
Drowning out God's still small voice,
Can you hear him call, nothing else compares at all.
So God says, "Close your eyes, my little friend,
and cast your cares on me, and I will soothe the hunger in your heart"
But ain't that the way that God is, a still quiet voice.
Ain't that the way that our God speaks
Isn't that the way that God is, in the quiet of the night
When he speaks to you, there's no mistaking it at all.

Dearest daughter! Stress comes at all ages... and you know exactly what I'm talking about!!! Praise God for daddies!
My dear friend, how many more days do you have to go until Shawn returns home?? :) Praying for you - thinking of you - remembering those days and putting myself in the same setting - oh yes, I remember! You're a brave one. Hang in there!!
My love, our God is gracious! He provides these opportunities and also provides the strength to make it through each one. He is good!
