Last Thursday I took the girls to a sibling class at Zeeland Hospital. I did this with Adrianna before Eliza was born and I thought it would be fun to do it again. It was just an hour and the girls seemed to have a lot of fun! At the beginning of the class we went around the room introducing ourselves. Most of the kids that were there told everyone their names and if mommy was having a boy or girl. Adrianna would not say her name but she looked at the instructor and said "I asked Jesus in my heart!". The instructor either didn't hear her very well or if she did, she just gave her a funny look and didn't say much! Oh to have the excitement of a child when they first accept Christ! I wish I had that same boldness and freedom to do that when the opportunity came! I definitely need to work on that!
Each kid that was there got to hold a pretend baby, practice feeding it, changing it's diaper, and rocking it. They each got a goody bag too! We were also able to tour the birthing floor and see a real baby. I think Adrianna remembered a little bit when Eliza was born, but most of it seemed new to her.
I'm not sure how much it really helped the girls to be better prepared, but they seemed to have fun anyway!
