John Ball Zoo

I am so glad we bought a Children's Museum membership because we were able to go to the Zoo for free! It was beautiful weather, which I was kind of waiting for so we all wouldn't have to walk around in 86 degree heat! Even though the zoo is small, I love how kid-friendly it is and that you don't have to walk a mile to see the exhibits. Eliza really seemed to want to look at the animals longer than Adrianna. We would point out something to Adrianna and she would say "That's cool, what's next?"! Hello...mini-daddy...:) They have just enough exhibits for a kid's attention span and it was fun to pack our lunch and eat near the llamas!

This is a new little outlook since I had last been there. It's the Pelican Pier and it juts out over the little pond with the ducks, flamingos, and pelicans. Eliza LOVES ducks!

Of course we HAD to see the sting-rays and feed them. At least Daddy got to touch seafood..:) Adrianna wanted nothing to do with them, as you can tell by her face!
I tried to get Eliza to put her hand in the water but of course she kept saying NO THANKS!

She really is having fun despite that fact she looks like we are putting her through torture! The girls got to pet the Pygmy goats and brush their hair.

Because we didn't have to pay admission we indulged in a camel ride! I am continually surprised that Adrianna wants to do these new and different things. I was a little disappointed that they only take you around a small circle twice, but it's for the experience right?:)

We asked Eliza if she wanted to go and of course she said no...then halfway through their short ride, she said "Ride it". Okay..the indecision of a 2 year old is going to drive me crazy! I guess Shawn could have just took her but I didn't want to force the issue! We had fun watching!

It's funny to me that they pause and let family members take a picture, but then they also charge $5 if you want them to take a souvenir picture! My camera works just fine thank you!

What would the zoo be without a tradional picture by the John Ball statue!
