I woke up this morning to a little 2 year old covered in poo AND a bed covered in poo. We had baths, laundry started, breakfast, and dressed all before 9 am! Eliza was sick all day and very clingy and whiny. Poor thing.. her bum looks like a piece of raw meat and she just screams every time we change her diaper. I think she went at least 6 times today.
She didn't have much of an appetite and was very cuddly which I really like!
Adrianna was such a big helper. She kept offering to get her a drink, rub her back, read her a book, and get her silky all day long.
Nap time began at 12:30 and Eliza slept for about 2 1/2 hours.
Meanwhile Adrianna and I did a Bible lesson about the seeds that were dropped on 4 different kinds of soil. It was especially intringing to Adrianna because it involved M&M's, her favorite candy! I'll post about that later! We also made a rain stick (which needs to be fixed by daddy!), practiced our letters, and read Narnia.
She had a big accomplishment today! She wrote her entire name ALL BY HERSELF! This is huge because she has shown no interest in writing letters since we began learning them a year and a half ago! We learned how to write Big A, little a, and D the other day. Then today we did r, i, and n. I wish I could frame it. It made my heart proud!
I also got started on my Christmas cookies! One kind is done and ready to be frozen! I know, I know, I'm anal....BUT.... I know I will not have the time or energy to do many when the baby comes so we are trying to get as many done before the baby comes as possible. I think we are going to try and make 20 different kinds this year!
So, all that to say...I can hardly move, and I am going to sit and put my feet up for the rest of the evening!
Some funny quotes and sayings from Adrianna:
"I'm going to twirl around like a banderina!" (ballerina)
At dinner lately, she has been asking who made which food. She will ask if daddy made it, if I made it, or we both did. The other night she was asking who made things and it ended up that I made the main dish and the veggie and Shawn made the salad. Then she asked "How come mommy made 2 things and you only made one daddy?"
I asked her if she would like pb&j for lunch or turkey & cheese. She said "Let me think a minute here mom".
"I'm going to just organize your Tupperware mom." (wonder where she gets that from..:))
We were talking the other evening about consequences because she had just lost her movie watching privledge. She has had trouble telling the truth and that was the only thing I could think of to sink in to her. She absolutely loves movies and to take them away was a HUGE tragedy! She has a chart of character qualities we are trying to teach her so I added telling the truth to it. She has to earn 5 stickers to get her movies back. (by being truthful)
So anyway, we were talking about the fact that when we sin and choose to do bad things, we have to have a consequence. I told her that mommy and daddy have consequences for our actions and then we went through the list of all the people she knows that get consequences for their actions also. I told her that Jesus wants us to choose the right thing and have the right heart attitude, but He can help us do that. She looked at me and said "You mean Jesus wants to kill me?". Okay, she was very serious and in her mind I think she was thinking of how Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that we didn't have to die because He did. It is amazing how drastic she gets!
I say to her that she is getting a time-out. She will look at me and say " You mean you don't want me to eat dinner?" It is no where near dinner time!
Or she'll say " You mean you don't want me to see daddy?"
Or " You mean you don't want me to go to school any more?"
Oscar here we come....:)

And who could forget the other night when papa was scolding her. She came running to me and said, grandma, how come papa doesnt' love me anymore? Wow, that cut into my heart. Later I pointed out to papa that he didn't reassure her when she said that. So, he called her on the phone and said he loved her, and apoligize for being a grumpy papa!
Keegan does the "blow-this out of proportion" thing lots, too.
