Burned Behind!

POOR LITTLE PERIWINKLE!

My very oblivious and curious 3 and a half year old brought me her sweet little kitty stuffed animal yesterday and asked me to fix it. First of all, she got Periwinkle from Papa when we went to Pennsylvania for my great-grandma's funeral. She sleeps with it every night and it is one of her special critters. So....I looked at the kitty and noticed a brown spot about the size of a quarter on the kitty's behind. At first I thought it was poo but then I got this overwhelming aroma of burnt fabric coming from her room and from the kitty. I asked Adrianna what happened and she said that she put her kitty on her lamp by her nightstand! I promptly informed her that it is extremely dangerous and she could have burned down the house! (okay...maybe a little extreme, but sometimes the point needs to come across!) She was very concerned and quickly went to turn her light off.
I never would have thought that she would think about doing that and that it would burn! Just another safety hazard to watch out for! Just when you think everything is child proof.......:)
