I am reminded today of the great love our Savior had for us as He gave Himself as the payment for our sins. What a heavy weight He must have had on his spirit as the burden of sin from the entire world lay on him. I was reading in John 18 when Jesus went before Pilate. Pilate just asked Jesus if he was the king of the Jews. He also asked him what he had done. Jesus replied, " My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place". Oh to have the same thought in my heart! My kingdom is not of this world. I need to look ahead to what God has prepared for us. First of all through the death of his Son he prepared the way and offered us a free gift. The salvation of our souls! Christ is in my heart and I look forward to the day went He come back and rid the world of sin permanently!
Remember today the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for YOU!
