I don't like amnio's......

The amnio is over THANK THE LORD! We got to the hospital at 7:45 am with 2 kids in tow, registered, and then sat waiting for them to call my name. The registration clerk came out to tell me that they had me down at 10 am, not 8 am and that a few others were scheduled before me. THAT would be convenient with 2 kids! Well, they worked it out and we were able to get in around 8:15. So the ultrasound tech was looking at the baby and doing some measurements when my doctor came in and said my placenta was in the front and there didn't seem to be any visable pockets of fluid to get a sample from. He said if that was the case we would have to WAIT ANOTHER WEEK! I was thinking I DON'T THINK SO! And I said "Please don't tell me that"!
The thought of waiting another week made my heart drop and I actually thought I was going to vomit! I even said to him that I didn't think I could make it another week!

He had me turn to the side and they saw a 'small' pocket that he thought would work. Well, every time he pushed on my belly to see if it would work, little man decided to kick him! He did finally find a pocket and when the needle was in, baby decided to move his legs up right next to the needle! I really thought he was going to poke him! They got enough of a sample and it was cloudy, which is good! My doctor said he was pretty sure they would be mature and I told him they better be!
It was a very anxious half hour! I prayed the whole time that God would have mercy on my poor pregnant soul and help him find a pocket of fluid and that they would be mature! My doctor told Shawn that this baby was in the catagory of "really big"! Yeah, we'll see how much he weighs tomorrow!

I was reassured when I saw the heartbeat and felt him moving around more today. Maybe he will be a calm, sleepy baby! He will be sleepy anyway with being 3 weeks early. Thanks Sarah D. for your encouragement about that!

I had to have an NST afterwards just to make sure the baby was not in distress and that I wasn't going into labor. Everything looks good with him.

We got a call around 1pm saying that his lungs are ready!
WE'RE HAVING A BABY TOMORROW!

I am filled with relief but a lot of nervousness and apprehension! I can hardly believe we will meet our little guy and see his sweet face tomorrow!

Shawn and my mom had taken the girls to McDonald's while I had my NST so I met up with them and we went to my mom's. We actually made another Christmas cookie! Yes, we are CRAZY! It was an easy one so we didn't have to do much standing.
My mom has the girls, they have all their stuff and are ready to get settled in for a few days at grandma's. Adrianna picked out a gift for the baby and she is very excited to help him open it!
Eliza keeps saying "baby brother come out and I kiss him"!
I am so excited to see their reactions tomorrow!

So, I am home now having the last few moments of time to myself for a while. Shawn has conferences tonight and then he should be home.
I have to restrain myself from cleaning something since everything is ready!

We will try and update as soon as possible so you all can meet our little guy.

We are resting in the Lord tonight and know he is taking care of us!
