I have no explanation for my day yesterday. I have not had one like that in a while! And because of that, I am going to record it forever on my blog. :)
The day started out as usual, getting up around 7, praying that God would use me to glorify Him in whatever he brings my way, and getting a shower before the kids got up. (Little did I know that He would actually take me up on that prayer in such practical ways today!)
Eliza is usually the first one up and most mornings she gets dressed right away and sits at the table waiting for breakfast. As I was getting ready, Caleb woke up. Eliza asked to go in a talk to him. All was quiet....which should have been my first clue....I went in there to find lotion all over Caleb's head and Vaseline all over the mirror on his door. Because of time, we had to clean up that mess later.
After breakfast Eliza asked for a yogurt. I said she could have one when we got back from dropping off Adrianna. Because she NEVER forgets anything I say, when we did get back she went right for the yogurt while I was in the bathroom. And this is always the time when all little urchins under the age of 5 think it's great to get into stuff or knock on the door a million times.
Anyway, I came out to find the yogurt top (which is some type of foil) in about 10 tiny little pieces all over the floor, surrounded by yogurt blotches in various locations.
As soon as she was done cleaning that up, I looked in her room to find that she had sprayed the mop cleaner all over the floor. This cleaner is NOT for wood floors!
Caleb then thought it would tons of fun to climb into the dishwasher and stand on the door as I was trying to empty it.
Seriously! You might be saying that it seems like she is screaming for attention...not the case..our morning was filled with reading, coloring, playing, and snuggles!
Apparently I missed the memo about this day being a day that little children were going to get into EVERYTHING that wasn't a TOY!
Fast forward to after dinner. We went for a walk and came back for some hot chocolate. Eliza was messing around at the table and promptly spilled it all over the floor. No this was NOT an accident! I had to leave the room because I had had about enough from her that day!
Shawn graciously cleaned it up and bedtime could not have come soon enough!
After the kids were in bed I decided to try and finish painting the mudroom. All I had left was to roll the walls. As I was putting on the roller cover, I noticed that the roller was REALLY thick. It also took quite a lot of paint to cover it. Hmmm.....As I was trying to roll out the color, little pieces of the roller were getting stuck to the wall! I then noticed that the roller was for rough surfaces like doing stucco. Yep..I'm a genius.....
I wisely decided that I was done for the day before I had any other mishaps. So......
I thought it would be relaxing to sit down, eat some popcorn, and fold my laundry.
Burned the popcorn.....laughed about it...and called it a day!
I just might not get out of bed tomorrow!:)

What a day it was, Babe! I'm sorry that I couldn't keep from laughing about it...your retelling of the morning (and facial expressions) were priceless! This is one of those entries that should be videotaped. Ha!
I love you!
Sounds like one of those days you need to remember just so the normal, regular-flowing days seem that much better! ;-)
