Our sweet boy needed glasses! At his 18 month check-up his pediatrician noticed that his left eye wasn't quite right. She sent us to a pediatric opthomologist and she was shocked that his pediatrician caught it. If it went untreated, he could potentially start losing sight in that eye. The brain would start using his strong eye more and the weak eye could shut down. So....the first step is to wear glasses for at least a month and then reevaluate his eyes. He did pretty well for his first day of wearing them! It seems that if he is distracted, he doesn't try to take them off. I could also tell that he seems to be seeing things better. 
He loved the candy we gave him when he first put them on!
So cute if I do say so myself!

He looks so cute! Micah was 3 1/2 when he got his glasses and I thought THAT was young. It took him about a week to figure out trust him to keep them on his face. I'm glad you guys caught this early!
He's a handsome little boy, isn't he? These glasses are a bittersweet reminder that we are a bunch of broken, damaged people...and the God loves us in spite of it all! It just reminds us that we need him...
