I recently bought Adrianna some glitter glue that came in a tube shaped like a microphone. It was a Hannah Montana one, even though we don't watch the show.
Anyway, she has recently been giving us concerts by making up songs and singing into it.
Here is her latest song she wrote:
I love Jesus
I'm glad he isn't a monster
Hannah Montana is coming here
I really do love Jesus
(I have no idea what tune it goes to....) :)
Her teacher said she was a little sad today at school. She ususally is very talkative and wants to show them everything she does. I asked her if she was sad about anything. She said she missed Caleb, Gus, and the grandma that is up in Heaven. (This is my mom's grandma who passed away almost 2 years ago) She also said she was mad because her friend Lili pushed her in school today. Anyway, I told her it was okay to be sad. She said she was going to tell Jesus about it.
I encouraged her to talk to him just like she was talking to me and that he always listens. She asked if he talked back. Well, I said he does and we just have to be quiet and hear him in our hearts. She stood really still, looked up into the sky and said "He's not talking to me!".
How do you explain to a 4 1/2 year old how Jesus talks to us?
It really makes you think how to explain things when kids asked those hard to answer questions!
The other day Shawn kissed me after he got home from work and Adrianna was standing there. I looked over and she had a funny look on her face and she said "Why do you have to do that?"!
We explained to her that it is okay that mommy's and daddy's do that and it just means we love each other! She seemed satisfied with that....for now!
