Gus is officially gone...sniff....jk...;)!
The sweet couple came to pick him up today. We gathered all his stuff last night and had it ready for him. It is such the perfect place for him. I could not have imagined anything better!
They even brought a gift for the girls and a gift for the baby! We don't even know them and they were so thoughtful!
She even said we could come and visit and the girls could have a tea party with her. What more could I ask for in finding Gus a good home.
I'm not sure exactly how I feel. I am sad and it feels weird to think this is permanent but I think in the long run this is the best for our family.
One more worry gone before the baby comes!
They are keeping him on a week trial to see how it goes and if all is well, they will keep him permanently. If not, they will give him back....let's hope that doesn't happen!

I got tears reading this. But despite the saddness you have made a good decision for both Gus and your family. Just seems like the good or best decisions are always the hardest ones to make. Will keep praying that this week will be a good one for all involved, dogs and people.....love you bunches!
I'm going to miss Gussy... But I know in the long run this will be better for everyone. This couple sounds wonderful! And I think Gus will be happy too. Someday when your kids can take care of a pet, you can get another pet for them, in the meantime, your house is full!!!! Praise God for finding this perfect home for him!
