Spring Fun...Finally!

I just had to post a picture of my sweet girls. Adrianna got this hat
from Grandma Sylvia for her birthday and I think it is adorable!
We are definitely out enjoying the weather! I wish it would stay in the 70's all summer!

Eliza loves it outside but she wanders. And she is a falling disaster waiting to happen! Needless to say, we have to keep a close eye on her!

We passed down Adrianna's old bike to Eliza. I am glad for hand-me-downs but I hope we won't always have to do that! She can't actually pedal yet but she loves to be pulled around on it.
I handle on the back would be REALLY nice.:)

Adrianna loves her new bike. It is a tad big but I think she will be able to use it for a least a couple of years. She does great practicing and she is usually wearing a helmet!

The girls LOVE the wagon Adrianna got for her birthday. We have taken many walks already. Adrianna loves to pull Eliza all over the yard in it!

Okay, does this look like a posh ride or what! This was Eliza's 1st time in the bike stroller and she loved it! She had to have her silky and drink, compliments of Adrianna! She just loves to be active and doing fun things! She has started putting 2 words together already. Her most useful word is uh-oh in front of everything.
Uh-oh Anna, Uh-oh Daddy, Un-oh Gus, Uh-oh cup...or Uh-0h to anything that has fallen on the floor. She also says thank you to everything. She is such a sweetie! She has also said: Bye-bye Papa, Anna eat, and hi mommy. She repeats pretty much everything we say so we have to be very careful already!

New Due Date:(

We had our ultrasound today. There was some question on the actual due date and how far along I actually am. Instead of being 10 weeks which would be going by my period, I am only 7 weeks according to the ultrasound. I was a little disappointed only because I have to adjust my mental expectations of how far along I thought I was and how long I will be pregnant.
Anyway, everything looks good so far. We saw the little heartbeat and the baby moving around. The picture looks like our 2 girls....like a little bean!:)

I was so bummed because they didn't give me a goody welcome bag like they did for my other 2 pregancies! I guess by the 3rd time they expect you know what you need to!
I had to go give blood afterwards and my dear, thoughtful husband went to the gift shop and got me his version of a goody bag! He bought a devotional book about finding your place as a woman when you have kids, and have other things bogging you down. It is based on Proverbs 31. He said he has been looking for something like that for about a year because he knows I sometimes wonder where my place is as a woman in addition to being a wife and mommy. He also got some body wash and a few of my favorite candies. SO THOUGHTFUL! It helped me now be so bitter I didn't get a bag from the doctor..:) Mega points for Shawn!

My next appt. isn't for 5 weeks and I only have to check my sugar every other day right now. That makes me happy!
I'm having a hard time being completely excited yet because I haven't been feeling so great. It's hard when you feel like you want to throw-up all the time! And most of you know how hard it is to be pregnant with other kids running around! One day at a time right?:) It did make it more of a reality that there is actually a baby in there that we can see now! I guess I just have to push aside all the crap and enjoy the miracle of new life! This too shall pass......now it will just take 3 weeks longer!

Spring Break is over..:(

Well...Spring break is over and it is back to normal reality! I am incredibly thankful that Shawn has a job where he gets a week off in April and various days off spread throughout the year. It is always an adjustment when he comes home because he has to adjust to our home routine. Then it is an adjustment when he goes back because we miss having him around all day! We had a great spring break. We started off the week with Adrianna's birthday celebration and we had a lot of quality family time the rest of the week. Boy did we need it! It kind of gives us some fuel to make it through the rest of the school year.

We have an ultrasound tomorrow which we are very excited about! No, this is not the 20 week ultrasound. I have already been asked 3 times if I am having twins and every time I tell someone how far along I am, they look down at my belly, their eyes get huge and they say 'Wow honey, you are big!'. I usually get big right away in my pregnancies and then I stay the same size for a few months. I'll update after our ultrasound!

I am so looking forward to warmer weather! We have a new wagon, bubble makers, bikes, sandbox, and lots of outdoor activities that will keep us busy. We are looking forward to getting a swing set this year too!

Just call me Walter

I'm sure most of you have probably seen "Sleepless in Seattle". Well, do you remember Meg Ryan's fiance Walter? The guy who was allergic to everything and had to have a vaporizer, humidifier, tissues, and anything else in bed at night to relieve his symptoms? Well, I'm not allergic to everything but I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. Yes, I have to get a lovely c-pap machine that is supposed to help me get quality, restful sleep. I can't even remember the last time I woke up and felt rested. I usually wake up and think 'Did I go to sleep?'. I had to have sleep test where you actually go to a sleep center and stay the night. They hook you up to a bazillion wires, wrap straps around your chest and stomach and then expect you to sleep normally. They also monitor you all night and periodically talk to you over a speaker in the room. Yeah...did not sleep well at all! Anyway, I get my machine on Wednesday and I am really hoping this will help me feel more rested and have more energy.
So you can imagine how romantic it will be with my lovely mask, head gear thing, my bite splint and the vaporizer going! I turn 30 and it all goes to pot!

Happy Birthday our sweet Princess!

Adrianna has at least 2 souvenirs from her birthday! She skinned her elbow on the sidewalk and then fell on the sandbox! She loves band-aids so at least that calmed her down!

We began our day with cinnamon rolls for breakfast and a gift from Eliza! More Polly Pockets! Can I just say, those are the smallest things EVER! Adrianna loves very small toys and shoes so she will play with these for a while!

Great-Grandma bought her this ADORABLE dress. She looks so grown up! We went to church and she got a slushy and candy from Miss Ellen. What more could a girl want!:)

Everyone came back to our house for soup, salad, and bread for lunch. We only had 14 people this time and soup is so easy in the crock pot. We just did cupcakes since we did our big cake yesterday.

Shawn and I bought her a bike. She LOVED it! Wow, training wheels, a basked, and a really annoying bike horn! (yes, thank you to the great friends who got her that. Now we can annoy our neighbors..:) Maybe the dogs will stop barking next door!) I love outdoor toys because now we have things to do when we want to enjoy the nice weather!

I was looking through the scrapbooks of Adrianna's birth and first year and reminiscing about the good times, the bad times, and ways we have grown since she was born. Her name means protected by grace, and I know that in the many years to come, God will show his promise to her and to us that He is ever faithful. That he will hold us in His loving hands, and that He blesses us beyond anything we can ever imagine.
Happy Birthday my miracle!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, It's Princess Adrianna's 4th Birthday!

Today Adrianna turned 4! We had a family party yesterday with 29 people! She wanted to have a Cinderella Castle party complete with Cinderella's dress. It is amazing how much she has grown-up since turning 4. We began our journey to have her 6 years ago and we are so blessed! I just know that God has so many abundant blessings in store for her life. She brings so much joy to our home and is such a sweet girl.

We had to have a Cinderella castle cake! This was a kit that was somewhat easy to put together. After I figured out what they were trying to describe and after using 3 tubs of frosting, I was able to enjoy decorating it!

This was a brief moment of Eliza actually sitting still and both of them showin' some lovin'!

My Grandpa has to do some exercises for his back and he was trying to get Eliza to do them with him. She was a little apprehensive at first but she warmed right up! The girls call him Great-Papa.

Great-Papa loves crosswords and Adrianna thought she would like them. Well......she just loves being near her papa's!

Pizzaria Uno on the Beltline had a room that would accomodate 29 people! Our family gatherings are a blast but a little crowded. This was actually the first birthday of Adrianna's that I did not cook for everyone. If there was any feelings of guilt about that, they quickly left after I saw this big table of people! It is so much easier to go out!

My sister Sarah is a nerd...:) She makes us laugh though!

Mmmm.....Strawberry Supreme cake!

This was actually a re-enactment! I missed the actual blowing out of the cake so I told Adrianna to pretend. She's good isn't she?:)
Can we say drama?:)

We had a fabulous time with family and friends. One of my favorite things she got was a wagon! I am really looking forward to using that this summer. Oh...and the bubble blowers!
We are so blessed to have family and friends who love us enough to celebrate birthday's and special occasions. I was looking around the table at Uno's and thinking that most of the people we care about and love were sitting at that table. Wow...There's nothing like family!

Quench?

Some of you may be asking why we chose "Quench not the Spirit" for our Q verse! Well, it was one of the few verses beginning with Q and basically it's saying don't say no to God! I think that is a great reminder! Especially for 4 year olds who say no to EVERYTHING!
We only have 3 more consonant letters to do and then the vowels and we will have made it through all our letter sounds! So exciting!

I am feeling VERY TIRED and trying to stay awake to do ANYTHING! We are getting ready for Adrianna's party on Saturday and her birthday on Sunday. I'll definitely post all about that!
I can hardly believe she is going to be 4.

Eliza is asking for a 'geek' so I'd better go. (read Shawn's blog to find out about that!)
